Ritual Facilitation and Rites of Passage

Why is Ritual important?
Ritual has been integral to human civilization for as far back as there is evidence of human culture. Humanity has never been without ritual, but modern western culture comes close. Our rituals are becoming increasingly hollow and meaningless venues for commercialization. We are losing that part of the human experience that feeds the soul, and our spirit-bodies are so hungry! We are walking around with a great emptiness where our feelings of awe, connection with the universe, and love for the Great Mystery should be. We try to distract ourselves and fill the hole up with television, video games, and rapid relationship-cycling, all fast food for the mind. But the sense of dissatisfaction, and the hunger remains. Our distractions do not nourish us. Ritual speaks to older and deeper parts of the brain, feeding the unconscious the food of mystery, and authentic human connection. Ritual also helps us communicate with the more creative, less verbal, right hemisphere of the brain, accessing vital creative energy, ideas and power to manifest the lives we want.

Rituals of Releasing make room for the energy you need to pursue new ventures, to come to you. They include the letting go of: old relationships, homes, careers, dreams, addictions, ways of being, and friendships that no longer nourish you.

Rituals of Abundance attract energy to you that will support you in the pursuit of new dreams, ventures and relationships.

Wheel of Life Rituals honor major life transitions. They are designed to feed the spirit, and honor the milestones of life that carry the richest meaning and deepest sense of celebration:

I Offer Two Ritual Services:

Creation - I sit down with you and we co-create a ritual to fit your needs, pooling what I know about that which nourishes the human spirit, and what you know about YOU. Then I organize the ideas we have generated, and send you the script and supplies-list for your ritual. I charge $40 per hour for this service.

Facilitation - I will also facilitate some rituals, when it seems within the spirit of the event to do so. My rates for facilitation run $80 per hour. Special arrangements can also be made if you want me to procure the items on the supplies list for you.

The Blood Mysteries:
Finally, many women carry internal wounds sustained from the experience of growing up in a culture that has for centuries denigrated and reviled the feminine. I offer a six-hour workshop of shared stories, songs, ritual and celebration designed to access and heal some of the shame that many women carry regarding our bodies and our bleeding. This workshop, held on sacred women’s land a ferry ride across the water from Seattle, is designed to serve between four and ten women. The cost is $100 per person.
